Minor Fires

A rubbish fire in Kingsford street was attended by two units from the New Brighton station and one from the St. Albans station at 7.22 a.m. bn Saturday. A fire in a cabbage tree at the residence of Mr M. J. Preston, 332 Avonside drive, was extinguished by a unit from the Central station at 6.6 p.m.

Two units from the Lyttelton station attended a fire in a car in London street, at 12.41 a.m. yesterday. The car is owned by Mr K. C. Fenton. A grass fire on the side of Gilberthorpes road was put out by a unit from the Sockburn station at 11.7 a.m;
