LIQUOR THEFT

Haul Worth £241 Thieves who stole about 150 bottles of liquor, valued at £241 9s 6d, from the Star and Garter Hotel, 332 Oxford terrace, on Friday night were very selective. When the thieves entered the premises through a window they found all doors leading from the room locked. They then climbed along the roof and removed louvres from the windows at the top of the private bar facing Barbadoes street. The liquor taken included expensive liqueurs, rum, brandy, whisky, wine, gin, and vodka. The thieves took the best and most expensive liquor from the bottle store, leaving the shelves depleted. The liquor taken from there was valued at £209 14s 6d, and £3l 15s worth was taken from the private bar.
