TAXATION BENEFITS
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.PA.) LONDON, June 30. Tax concessions to pensioners announced by the Government, will allow a single person over 65 to have an income of £360 a year without being liable for tax. The previous limit was £325. The limit for married couples over 65 is raised from £520 to £575. If a couple’s yearly income exceeds the new limit by less than £l3O, they will pay tax at a reduced rate. At present they are allowed to exceed the limit by only £75.
