AMALGAMATION PROPOSAL

WHANGAREI, June 30. The Kamo Town Council is sending out to' all its electors a postal poll on amalgamation with the City of Whangarei, as proposed under the Local Government Commissions’ provisional scheme, 'recently promulgated. In a covering letter the Town Clerk (Mr F. G. Rose) says: “The council , desires, to obtain an expression of public will as to whether it is justified in continuing the opposition to the provisional scheme.”
