To Relieve At Pearl Harbour

(N.Z. Press Association)

AUCKLAND, July 2. H.M.N.Z.S. Otago will sail for Pearl Harbour and the Far East on July 18 to relieve the frigate Taranaki as New Zealand’s contribution to the strength of the Far East Fleet. The Otago returned to Auckland today after her quick voyage to Antarctic waters to act as weather ship for the mercy flight which brought out an injured American Seabee from McMurdo Sound.

As is now standard practice, the Otago will work with American ships at Hawaii before sailing for Singapore.
