WHANGAREI REFINERY
Failure In Equipment (N.Z. Press Association WHANGAREI,. June 30. The Whangarei oil refinery was closed down today because of failure of Jieat exchanger equipment, a New Zealand Refining Company spokesman said. . The shutdown.was not expected to last more than a day’ and then it would be another 36 hours before it was fully on stream again. Fitters -were moving, on to the job last night to' overcome the failure. The spokesman said the refinery had been running at about maximum . throughput and. there was no fear of anyone -running short of refined Products.
