WELLINGTON, June 30. The Post Office has not yet been successful in its search for a new site at Lyttelton for a new office there. The Postmaster-General (Mr Scott) replied today to a written Parliamentary question submitted by Mr N. E. Kirk (Opp., Lyttelton) that, although the present office at Lyttelton was old, it was in sound structural condition and was adequate to meet the needs of the area at present Mr Kirk had asked whether, in view of the “poor facilities afforded the public and the unsatisfactory working conditions for the staff,”, he would ,ee that the replacement of the office was treated as urgent
