Silver Plough Queen Search

The Silver Plough queen contest held in conjunction with the New Zealand final of the Atlantic Silver Plough Contest will be held in Christchurch at the Templeton Training School this year on July 25. The contest will be sponsored by the Wool Board, the Plough Association, and the Atlantic Union Oil Company. The sponsors are looking for country girls who are over 18 years old to enter the contest

The contest will be judged on general knowledge, personality, poise, deportment and dress. The contestants will all wear woollen garments when they parade before the judges. The girt who is made Silver Plough Queen will win a flight to Rotorua, a week's holiday there, and £2O spending money. The prizes will be presented by the Canterbury Public Relations Officer (Mr C. N. Todd).
