BOOKED TO LOCAL SIRE
Cardigan nay s Dam “The Press” Special Service INVERCARGILL, June 29. Colwyn Bay, the dam of the champion, Cardigan Bay, and the winners Conway Bay and Swan Bay, will be mated next season with the Adios horse, Thurber Frost, which stands at the Roydon Lodge Stud, Yaldhurst. Colwyn Bay did not prove in foal when mated with Hal Tryax last season. Cardigan Bay, Conway Bay and Swan Bay have been the only three of Colwyn’s Bay’s produce to race. She has since produced two Hal Tryax fillies, Thule Bay, a rising three-year-old, and a rising yearling. An earlier filly, by My Chief, named Milford Haven, was last season mated with the imported horse Van Hanover.
