Fourth Rise This Month
The share price of New Zealand shares again rose in the week to June 25 to a new record of 1599, according to the Reserve Bank. After reaching a peak of 1631, the index for Australian shares, traded in New Zealand eased to 1628. The index of share prices In New Zealand (January 27, 1959. equals 1000), is:— 1962 N.Z. Aus. N.Z; Farmers* Fert.—N.Z. Farmers’ Fertiliser Company, Ltd.’s directors have recommended payment of final dividend of 5 per cent or Is a share on ordinary share capital and authorised payment of halfyearly preference dividend of 2} per cent payable on August 21, and ex dividend July 24. Yearly dividend is a steady 9 1-8 per cent.—(P.A.)
