MAY NOT FILM GENEALOGIES

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 15. The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints has been refused permission to microfilm Auckland City library records of obituaries and Maori genealogy because the records could lead to Baptism ceremonies for the dead, but the City Council’s Parks and Library Committee has given approval for the filming of library records, other than those that have already appeared in print.
