WAIMATE RACES
Approval in principle for the Waimate 50 road races to be held next year has been given by the Waimate Borough Council. The views of the council were sought by the South Canterbury Car Club, promoters of the event, so that plans for the next meeting might be put in hand. It will be good news to followers of the sport to hear that this excellent meeting will probably be continued. They owe a debt of gratitude to the Waimate Borough Council for doing so much to aid the sport and make the meeting possible.
