(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, April 1. The most recently established trustee savings bank, that at Wanganui, had set a record for the newer trustee banks, the president of the Associated Trustee Savings Banks of New Zealand (Mr W. A. Fraser, M.P.) said today. “After 21 weeks of operation it has deposits of £508.377 and 2128 depositors. In its fourth month it increased deposits by £101.091. On a population basis this is a more impressive result than was achieved by Canterbury. Manawatu or Hawke’s Bay in their initial periods of establishment,” said Mr Fraser.
