“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, April 2. Bridoon, a likely favourite in either event, will probably contest the Bledisloe Handicap at Ellerslie on Saturday Instead of the Royal Stakes. This was stated today by A. Cook, the Te Awamutu trainer who prepares Bridoon. Grand Win, according to the trainer, B. F. Deacon, will also start in the Bledisloe Handicap. She was an acceptor as well in the Royal Stakes. Nic.-demus and Awaroa, other dual acceptors, are expected to start in the Royal Stakes. Nestle Brae, an acceptor for the Bledisloe Handicap, is expected to start in the Challenge Handicap.
