INVERCARGILL, April 2. The Winton pacer, Omar On, will be expected to score his fourth success for the season when he lines up In the Central Handicap, main event and first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Winton Trotting Club’s autumn meeting on Saturday. He will be bracketed with Trysail, Prince Garry and Robyn. AH are members of H W. Cox’s team. Some capable improvers will clash in the second leg. the Members’ Handicap No. 2, in which Hal’s Delight, Beguile and Maori Brigade may fare best. Cardigan Bay is barned in Dancer’s farm in New Egypt, New Jersey, where he's made the transfer in good style. With him is his Australian trainer, Nowell Bennett, who says Cardigan Bay has had no trouble with food or water in the United States. To look at him you’d never know Cardigan Bay was Australian. There was no trace of an accent in his whinny, and he didn’t go around carrying a cup of tea. It is a high-class horse, going firstclass all the way. It cost 25,000 dollars to fly him here from Australia. Cardigan Bay made the 10,750-mile trip with a travelling companion, a six-year-old pacer, Great Credit. It makes you wonder if the stewardesses went around the plane asking the passengers if they would like to have “coffee, tea or oats.”
