AID FOR THAIS

Appeal To Schools (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 2. Four New Zealand volunteer workers who are helping to build two primary schools in Thailand would like to see them associated in some way with New Zealand schools. The New Zealanders who put forward this idea are members of the Rotarysponsored Good Neighbour team which has gone to Thailand under Volunteer Service Abroad—Messrs Neil Bellingham (Rotorua), Peter Lowe (Ashburton), Roy Cotter (Pahiatua), and . Rex Waterreus (Oamaru). They say that the schools, for an additional £75 each, could have iron roofs instead of thatch, but the settlers can provide only £25 towards this extra cost.

“If any schools are interested in following up the team's suggestion, we shall be glad to help them do so,” said Professor Colin Aikman, chairman of V.S.A., today. “They should write to Box 3564, Wellington.”
