Lamb Prices Still Rise
Quotations for New Zealand lamb continued to rise at London’s Smithfield Market last week, according to the Meat Board market information service. There was an increase of id per lb for the main grade (prime 29-361 b). New Zealand mutton quotations were only nominal. Hoggets were quoted at 17d to 20id per lb and ewes 13d to 18d per lb.
