Who’s Who In Music
Although W. J. Nathan was the leading guitarist and singer on the All Blacks tour of Britain, his knowledge of classical music was rather limited, according to the manager of the team (Mr F. D. Kilby). When the team was sight-seeing in Paris the guide pointed out the house in which Chopin died. A puzzled Nathan asked “who was Chopin?” He was quite satisfied when P. T. Walsh explained that Chopin had been a well known musician—“someone like Howard Morrison.”
