TWO MEN HURT

Car Through Fence Two men were injured when a car travelling towards Christchurch left the road near Chaneys corner and ploughed through a gorse and wire fence last evening. The driver’ of the car, Mr J. Childs, of 56 Maunsell street, Woolston, suffered shock and bruises. He was discharged after treatment at the Christchurch Hospital. A passenger in the car, Mr E. Dix, of 18 Akaroa street, Kaiapoi, suffered head injuries and was admitted to hospital. His condition was later reported to be satisfactory.

The car was extensively damaged along one side. It came to rest on the bapk of the fence, with all wheels off the ground.
