SCHOONER LOST

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter) SUVA, April 2. After drifting for nearly four days on an improvised raft two survivors from the wreck of the 23-ton auxiliary schooner Kadavulevu landed at Suva this afternoon. They were picked up outside the main reef south of Suva by the pilot vessel Seniceva, 70 miles from where the Kadavulevu capsized last Sunday night. She was on her way back from the island of Nairai with a large party of Fijians, mainly women and children, who had chartered the vessel for an Easter visit. They were following a long-established Fijian custom of large-scale community visits to exchange gifts and meet friends and relatives. After a thorough investigation the Fiji Government announced tonight the death, roll in the wreck of the Kadavulevu is more than 70 Deckhouse sections foundare charred by fire, which broke out after Kadavulevu capsized in stormy seas about midnight last Sunday.
