Wellington Publishing Again Trade At £23
Wellington Publishing A shares, which lost ground earlier this week, recovered 60s to £23 yesterday, the B and C shares came into line at the same price and the rights sold at £l4 10s, after news of the amended N.Z. Newspapers offer.
Crystal Ice reacted to the General Foods bid by rising 5s 9d to 25s in Dunedin, but buyers fell away to 23s 9d at the close while sellers were still asking 255.
There was a firmer tone to the market with rises keeping ahead of falls and key stocks improving.
