DRIVER KILLED

Truck Fails To Take Bend (N.Z. Press Association) MASTERTON, March 12. A driver was killed this afternoon on the Riversdale road when the sheep truck he was driving failed to take a left-hand bend near Blairlogie station, about 21 miles east of Masterton. He was Darryl John Light, aged 20, single, of Masterton. When the vehicle came to rest it was on the edge of the road which had a drop of about 200 feet. The sheep crate was thrown off and smashed and the truck cabin was crushed. Of the full load of sheep, four were killed.
