(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 17. Nelson was the sunniest place and Hokitika the wettest in New Zealand last year, according to Weather Office figures. Princess drive. Nelson, registered 2553 hours of sunshine and Nelson airfield 2495 hours. Blenheim was next with 2455 hours. Hokitika recorded more than 105 inches of rain on 181 days, but was far from bottom in the sunshine tables, registering 1838 hours. The town lowest in the sunshine tables was Invercargill, with 1549 hours.
