TOUCH RUGBY.—This picture of M. A. Herewini kicking for touch in the match between the All Blacks and Cardiff at Cardiff Arms Park could have been repeated scores of times during the match. The heavy ground and the depredations of both teams’ loose forwards meant that little back play could be developed and much of the game was spent in line-outs, scrums and rucks close to the touch lines. Watching Herewini kicking are the All Blacks, C. R. Laidlaw (left) and the loose forwards, K. R. Tremain and W. J. Nathan. The All Blacks won, 6-5.
