WINNING CHRISTMAS CAKE.—With coloured icing “stained-glass windows” as a background for a Christmas cake, and a coloured relief of the three wise men following the star on each side, this entry was the best novelty Christmas cake in a competition run by Hay’s, Ltd. It was made and decorated by Mrs N. F. Ellyett, who was also the winner of the open class.
