Construction Innovation
The building of this new stand has made full use of the post-tensioned strengthening process, a modern development in the field of concrete construction. The stand is certainly one of the longest of this type of building to be posttensioned in this country. Bridges have been built in this manner, but this stand is getting near the maximum length which can be treated in this way.
Post-tensioned strengthening is being applied more and more to the larger structures, and its incorporation in this building represents an important step forward in this country.
