Ellesmere teams enjoyed considerable success in matches played yesterday. The senior team had the better of a drawn game at Leeston with Banks Peninsula, and the juniors, playing at Lincoln, beat North Canterbury by an innings and 119 runs. In this match J. Meyer scored a century tor EJesmere. Scores:— Senior Ellesmere 226 (R. Brown 72. L. Waeon 44. C. Tilson 29. M. Hatchard 20; -1. Plummer tour for 43, D. Masefield four for 41); Banks Peninsula 187 for nine (E. Turner TO, D. Marshall 33. N. Allen IT, O. Masefield 30; B. Free four for S 3, I. Thomas three for M). Jutor Ellesmere 349 (J. Meyer 113, A. Brown 25. M. Moorhead 49 not out, M. G. Mcllraith 27; J. Began four for 80, D. Wylhe two for JS, B. Rossiter two for ST): North Canterbury 64 (W. Fleken three for 31, M. Moorhead five for 27. G. Mcllraith two for S) and M (Mooriiead four for 30, A. Brown three for 19, Mollraith two for 2).
