W.H.O. Officials Impressed

World Health Organisation officials and Australian political leaders visiting Papua and New Guinea have said that they were “genuinely impressed” by what the two New Zealanders who comprise the medical staff of Gemo island Leprosarium are doing for the victims of leprosy in Papua, says a report for the Mission to Lepers. The visit was a special inspection of the island after the regional WHO. conference at Port Moresby. The medical superintendent is Dr. Keith McKenzie, at Southland. The acting matron, and hostess to the official party, was Sister Christine Nicholls, of Auckland.

Premises Entered.—The premise* of Riccarton Electrical Supplies, Ltd., IM Ricearton road, were entered during the week-end and petty cash was stolen.
