ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Mr B. C. Simpson New President Mr B. C. Simpson, of Auckland, was elected president of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association at its seventy-third annual conference in Chmstcburch yesterday. He succeeds Mr R. Shakespeare (Hastings). Other officers elected were: Patron, Sir Bernard Fecgusson; vice - presidents, Messrs W. S. Clymont (West Coast) and W. L. Dalton (Auckland); secretary. Miss D. Brown (Christchurch»; treasurer, Mr A. J. Donaldson (Christchurch); handicapper, Mr R. E. Harding (Wellington); representatives on New Zealand Water Safety Committee, Mr F. J. S. Adam (Wellington) and Mrs D. Fitzsimmons (Wellington); representatives on New Zealand Olympic Association, Messrs T. C. Verhoeven (Wellington, executive), A. J. Donaldson (Christchurch), and C. Rex Moore (life member); representative on the New Zealand Surf Lifesaving Association. Mr K. F. C. Hancox; auditors, Messrs Purcell and Wilkinson. The Otago centre was allocated the New Zealand championships in 1965.
