CAR RACING AT TIMARU
F. J. Shuter Wins Major Event (From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU. October 28. F. J. Shuter, of Christchurch, driving a Ford VB-powered racing special, covered eight laps in 6min 30.5 sec to win the major event at the South Canterbury Car Club’s annual circuit-racing fixture at Saltwater Creek on Sunday. E. J. Norris (Ford 105 E Special) was second, and W. Darrell (Ace III) was third.
