POLITICALLY BARRED
Belgian Leaves China (N.Z.P A.-Reuter—Copyright) HONG KONG, August 30. Mr Albert C. Belhomme, a Belgian national and former United Stales Army P.0.W., came out of China with his Chinese wife and three children, today. Mr Belhomme chose to remain in China after the Korean War. He said today he was “disillusioned” and planned to return to his hometown, Antwerp. Asked why he elected to go to China in 1953, he said there were many reasons, including “politics and adventure.” He added, “But I got burned politically. I am now politically disillusioned. “My main concern now is my family. I think they will get a better life outside.” There was no sign of an American, Mr Scott L. Rush, of Marietta, Ohio, who, according to American consular officers, also was due to leave China.
