CAR TRIAL NUISANCE
Objections To Noise (N Z Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 1. Letters objecting to the noise caused by cars participating in club trials had been received by some car clubs, the annual meeting of the Association of Car Clubs at New Plymouth was told on Saturday. One incident resulted in a letter of protest from a county clerk, after which the club wrote letters of ■ apology to those who had complained It was suggested, as a result of this, that local bodies should be approached when a trial was to be held. It was also felt advisable that an adequate silencer be one of the prerequisites for any car entered for a trial
