(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, August 27. West Indies’ cricketers headed both the batting and bowling averages for the test series against England, which ended today. The vice-captain, C. C. Hunte, topped the batting averages with 58.87. His team-mate. R. Kanhai, who scored the highest number of runs, 497, was close behind with 55.22. P. J. Sharpe headed the England batting with 53.40. The West Indies pace bowler, C. Griffith, took 32 wickets at 16.21 runs apiece to head the bowling figures F. S. Trueman topped the English bowling With 32 wickets at 17.47 runs each.
