PROFUMO’S WIFE
No Intention Of Leaving (N ,Z.P.A.-Reuter—-Copyright) LONDON, July 1. The actress Valerie Hobson has no intention of leaving her husband, Mr John Profumo, as a result of the scandal which led to his resignation as War Minister and member of Parliament. In a copyright interview with the columnist. Nancy Spain, in today’s “News of the World,” Mrs Profumo was quoted as saying: “Of course I am not leaving Jack because this ghastly thing has happened. I hope to spend the rest of my life with him and my family.”
Chimney Fire.—A chimney fire in a house occupied by Mr G. Higgins, at 31 English street, was put out before it caused any damage last evening. Firemen from the Sockburn station attended.
