Conservative Recovery
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, June 30. The Conservative Pairty has recovered some support in the country since its political setback caused by the Profumo scandal, according to a Gallup poll published by the “Daliy Telegraph.” Labour’s lead has been reduced to 14 per cent, from 204 per cent. This means the Conservatives have returned to their position as at the end of May. The Liberals appear to be the main losers. About 46 per cent, think Mr Macmillan, the Prime Minister, should retire, compared with 62 per cent in February.
