RUGBY LEAGUE Nine Kiwis Out With Injuries

“TA* Press' Special Service SYDNEY, July 1. Nine members of the touring Kiwi Rugby League team will probably miss club football on Saturday after they arrive back in New Zealand tomorrow. The casualty list is the highest it has been since the tour started in mid-May.

The latest casualty is the "second string” half-back. G. J. Woollard. who injured hii ankle during training today. Injured players who will probably miss club games are G. C. Black ler (broken finger), W. L. Snowden (pulled tendons in ankle), B. S Lee (knee injury), H. K Iknery (knee), R. D. Hammond (thigh), J. E. Sparnon ■ ankle), N. L. Denton (thigh), J. R. Butterfield <knee), and Woollard. Emery can hardly walk with hie knee injury which he suffered during the third test. He could be out for more than a week. The Kiwis have only one fit player to name as reserve for the match against St George tomorrow. He is the wing, F. White. C. L. McMaster has been named as reserve forward, but he is suffering from a shoulder injury. This should not keep him out of club fixtures at the week-end.
