Sir, —Over the television news on Friday evening came the announcement that a decision on how to utilise our natural gas resources would be made soon. Immediately after the news was a programme on the development of Italy in recent years—a fantastic story of a network of gas pipelines throughout the country. A combination of the cheapest hydro-electric power in the world and a national network of natural gas would be unbeatable. —Yours, etc.,
