Records Theft
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 30. A man who had a "mania" for classical music had systematically stolen 219 long playing records from a city departmental store Over the last two years, the police told Mr J. B. Thomson. S.M., in the Magistrate's Court at Wellington on Saturday. When the police searched his house they found 886 classical records, most of them long playing. Eric Boniface, aged 43, a stereotyper, pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing records valued at £2BO. He was remanded on bail till July 5 for sentence.
