Oliver, chairman of the Selwyn County Council was re-elected deputy-chairman. Dr. F. W. Gunz has been appointed to the Dominion standing committee on blood transfusion services, and has been made advisory hematologist to the Health Departmen for North Canterbury Mr M. R. Love has been appointed to the Wellington sub-office of the Maori Affairs Department as a Maori employment officer to assist Maoris coming to Wellington to overcome problems and to promote work opportunities —(P.A.)
