NO OFFICIAL ADVICE

Inter>Domiiiion In 1965 (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 20. The secretary of the Auckland Trotting Club (Mr A E. Forrest) expressed surprise today at an announcement by the Inter-Dominion Trotting Conference in Adelaide that the Inter-Dominion championship series in 1965 would be held in Auckland. "My club does not know officially that the series will be held in New Zealand at all,” he said. “The question whether it will be held in Auckland has not even been discussed by the club committee, let alone any decision made.”

Mr Forrest said that, assuming the 1965 event had been allocated to Auckland, the final decision as to whether it would be held here must be made by the Auckland committee.

The last time the championships were held in Auckland was in 1955. The Grand Final was won by Tactician.
