Sharland Shares Fall 1s6d In 12 Days
Sharland shares, many parcels of which changed hands • n an d as recentl Y as February Bat 50s 6d, were sold in Wellington yesterday at 495. P.T.Y. Industries and Devonport Ferry contributing made the only other sharp losses among New Zealand shares.
Australian shares were quiet, with three rises and two falls. The demand for New Zealand shares was again buoyant and rises exceeded falls by two to one.
Trading covered 82 issues, compared with 94 on Tuesday this week and 87 on Wednesday last week.
