Mrs Tombleson Appointed
(NX. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 27. Mrs E. Tombleson, Government member of Parliament for Gisborne, bad been appointed to the Road Safety Council to represent women, the Minister of Transport
(Mr McAlpine) announced
“Mrs Tombleson wild replace Miss Margaret Magill, who died last year and who held that appointment tor 23 years," said Mr McAlpine. “A woman of proven ability in a number of fields, Mrs Tombleson has considerable experience and keen interest in traffic safety which will make her a particularly valuable member of the council,’* said Mr McAlpine. The council, of which Mt McAlpine is chairman, will meet next in Wellington on March 14.
