Trade Mark To Sell Wool
(NJ!. Prtu Assn.— Copyright) CANBERRA. November 7
The International Wool Secretariat is to register a trade mark for wool in most countries of the world as part of its plan to win back markets from synthetic fibres . The managing-director of the I.WS. (Mr W. J. Vines) told a press conference last night the secretariat hoped to create a “quality image” of wool through the trade mark. "Wool has a declining percentage of textlie markets,” he added.
“Therefore, we have to go out for the quality section of the market and persuade people to pay more for a wool garment than they would for a synthetic product. In this way we can maintain prices," he said.
