Adventure Camp For Boys
A special adventure camp for high school boys will be held at Watoui by the Christchurch Young Men’s Christian Association, from December 26 to January 31. There are vacancies for only 20 boys. The main Y.M.CA camp site at Watoui will be used as base and the boys will spend four or five days living to the open. The course will include rock climbing, fire building, compass reading and to a certain extent they will live off the land bunting and catching fish for meals. The successful applicants will take part in a training course to ensure fitness before they go. Member* of the association can register now. Nonmembers may apply from Monday, October 8. The ordinary camp for boya, at Watoui will operate for five weeks and there will be three 12-day periods. The first is from December 26 to January ?, the second from January 7 to January 16, and the third from January 16 to January 31.
