NEW FLYING RIGHTS
Range Pattern For Future (NX. Press Association) AUCKLAND. October I. Government negotiators had done an excellent job in securing rights for Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd., to fly to and beyond Malaya and Hong Kong, said Mr G N. Roberts, deputy chairman of the airline board, on his return tonight from overseas.
“This sets the pattern for the ty* of aircraft—medium to low-range pure jets—to be bought in the future by T-E-Alfc" he said. The extension of Tasman rights to the British Overseas Airways Corporation was a natural development of a previous agreement with the Governments of Australia and the United Kingdom from the time when T.E.A.L. became wholly New Zealand-owned. “It has been long anticipated," said Mr Roberts.
