11 Points In Lions’ Win
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PORT ELIZABETH, Aug. 18 The kicking power of England's full-back. J. Willcox, won the British Lions Rugby Union tourists their match againsl Central Universities yesterday Willcox, the leading scorer on the tour, kicked all but three of his side’s points in a 14-6 victory. He kicked two first-half penalty goals, added another in the second half and converted a try scored by R. Hunter. Central Universities' points came from a try by the wing D. Nel. and a late penalty by the other wing, G. Villiers Although Willcox was the match-winner, the Lion's flyhalf. R. Sharp, was the crowd's hero and several times thrilled spectators by racing past three or four defenders. After the interval the Lions were handicappad by losing the centre, J Dee. who had to go off with badly wrenched shoulder muscles.
