ROY SALVADORI, seen here in the Bowmaker Lola Climax V8, has announced he is to retire from racing at the end of this season. He is one of the oldest and most experienced drivers in the circus, Bruce McLaren reports, and is now aged 40. He has won at Le Mans and taken part in almost every form of racing since the war. For the last two years he has been a member of the Bowmaker racing team with John Surtees. During his career he has raced at Wigram several times.
