Record stake money for an Inter - Dominion Trotting Championship is the aim of tihe Trotting Control Board when the series is staged in Melbourne early in 1964. Members of the board are thinking in terms of £ W.000“ for the championship final, and increased amounts for each of the nine qualifying heats. “This year's Inter-Domm-ion final was worth £12.800 at Gloucester Park in Perth, but our aim is to increase this considerably,” a member said yesterday. He said the record prize would come from the T.C.B share of the To'.alisator Agency Board surplus.
