BRITISH RELAY TEAM.—A. P. Metcalf, Britain’s leading quarter-miler, receiving the baton from R. I. Brightwell during a recent British international athletic trials at Blackpool. Metcalf and Brightwell were included in the British A team in the four by 400 yards relay with B. D. Jackson and K. Wilcock. This quartet should compete with distinction at the European and Empire Games.
