Plans For Force In Thailand

(N.Z. Prens Association) WELLINGTON. June 18. The New, Zealand Armed Forces would stay in Thailand no longer than was necessary, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said today. But it was still too difficult to determine when the position in the trouble area would become stabilised.

Mr Holyoake said it had been announced the Geneva conference would resume in the near future to take all possible steps to stabilise the position.

Tourist Bureau. The Christchurch Government Tourist Bureau would remain open until 8 p.m. on Fridays, a spokesman for the bureau said yesterday. This extended service would begin on Friday.
